2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

Update: With only fuse #58 removed, the message has not come back. Perhaps removing the negative battery terminal would have worked with other fuses, but I'm leaving it for now since it's gone.

2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

Re-installing #54 made the compressor run through what I think is called the "self-test" and then no warnings pop up. I've since removed #58 which is a J-case fuse. I haven't driven it, but did start it. The compressor doesn't come on and no warnings popped up. Hopefully it stays that way...

2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

I took a look in the manual and there are three fuses related to the automatic level control system: #2: Electronic Stability Suspension Control, Automatic Level Control Exhaust #54: Automatic Level Control Compressor Relay #58: Automatic Level Control Compressor I pulled #54 and this is when...

2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

I thought I might have read somewhere that you need to pull the fuse with the battery disconnected. Is this a thing? I can also try (but haven't yet) unplugging the compressor harness from the compressor. It is feeling like there is something that senses whether the compressor comes on or...

2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

For those interested in why I'm trying to uninstall the air ride without changing the shocks: The truck has 200,000 miles on it and we use it only to tow our boat in another state. We drive it maybe 200 miles a year with 50 of those towing the boat (we're about 3/4 mile from the water). So...

2012 Tahoe LTZ "Service Suspension System" after Resistors

I have a 2012 Tahoe LTZ that I'm trying to remove the "service suspension system" on the driver display. Note: I have not and don't plan to change the shocks, I'm just trying to override the air ride (or whatever I should call it). I installed these resistors on all 4 shocks...

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

Dealer said transmission is going out. They also don’t deal with vehicles with so much money so didn’t even offer a trade in with or without a rebuilt transmission. Looking to take it to a local transmission shop and they estimated $3500-3800 for a rebuilt transmission installed.

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

Missed the last reply and decided to enjoy another day on the water :). Managed to trailer the boat a few miles to and from the water. And…make the 250 mile trip home without a problem. Truck is at dealer now and they are looking at it. My mistake was sending my wife. She has her eye on a...

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

Probably try to make it home then. Would replacing some of the fluid increase my chances? I could probably change some fluid or even drop the pan if that would help. Clearly less desirable using my last day on vacation to drop the pan especially if it’s not really going to help.

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

Thanks for the quick reply! I figured it would be something like this. What would you do in my situation? Is this a “you’ll be lucky to make it out of the parking lot” or “should have no trouble limping it home”?

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

If delayed engagement is not the correct term. On several occasions yesterday in drive and reverse, it seems like it engaged normally in idle. Once you start to try to go, there is a delay in it actually grabbing/engaging. Feels like clutch slipping and then grabbing once the RPMs are high...

    Transmission Delayed Engagement

All, I have a 2012 Tahoe LTZ with 185k on it. We drove it four hours to vacation and the transmission seemed a little unhappy (shifting strange at highway speeds). Once we got to vacation, it is having delayed engagement in drive and reverse. Not sure if it’s a hot only thing or not, but...

    5.3 Oil Pressure Advice

For reference, here is the oil pressure switch I ordered from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/product-reviews/B01FRENAA0/ref=acr_dp_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&reviewerType=all_reviews#reviews-filter-bar The store is even called "GM Store", but I see the same reviews as j91z28d1 did...

    5.3 Oil Pressure Advice

Gotta love this forum! As a matter of fact, I did buy the "ACDELCO" oil pressure sensor from Amazon because it was like $30. I remember thinking at the time, "how can Amazon sell them for half the price of an auto parts store?" However, then moved on to "it's an ACDELCO part, so what do I...

    5.3 Oil Pressure Advice

Gotcha! Since I'm not interested in swapping the cam, I think I'll stick with my plan. However, you bring up an interesting point. I will plan on doing the +2 quart downhill oring test that has been described on this forum to see if my new oring could be all or part of my problem.
