I have a 2004 Yukon and half the time I get out of the truck my radio keeps running. If I open the back door it shuts off. I was hoping someone had an idea before I tore it apart. :)
I am close to ordering some 20's for the yukon.

Those are the rims
and the tires are these...
I am on a budget so is there a tire size that will fit on my 16s that will reduce the size of the gap in the wheel wells? I was looking to go all terrain on the rims for my winter set. I think they are 265r16 on there currently.
Thanks for all the info I appreciate it.
No response from the guy on craigslist so probably gunna just get tires on the 16s. I do a lot of highway driving to work every day and I need good brakes. Any idea on how big I can go realistically with stock brakes? Should I max out at say 20s?
Thanks
Smooth out
Ok.. So I have been going back and forth for several weeks on what to do about my tire situation. I have 16" rims on my 04 yukon and my tires need to be replaced. Now my eventual goal is to get larger rims (probably something like 22s or 24s) but I want the large rims to be a summer set and use...
Was curious if anyone knew of a kit to modify the stock electric mirrors with some that will collapse via a switch? I know the newer yukons have this as a feature and I have to collapse my mirrors to get into the garage. Such a pain when it is raining etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Smooth out
I saw a front end kit but it was like $2400. Is there a way I can just rock out a bumper?
I found this.. http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product/13122/00-06_GMC_Yukon_Denali_Style_Front_Bumper.html
Is that what I am lookin for?
One more question from a noob.. Can I do a 2/3 drop with stock rims and tires?
I appreciate everyone's help just trying to get an idea of what to do first so I can spread out the cash. Was thinking doing the 2/3 drop as well as the debadging first.
Thanks again
Thanks!
I have been reading some of the howto threads on debadging and removing the side molding. I need to get a few supplies before I go there. I will post up some progress as I got.
If I do go say 22" rims what sort of brakes/rotors should I slam on it?
Thanks
Smooth out
Thanks for all the suggestions. Couple more questions. Where can I find the SS bumper and the escalade vent caps? If I put 20+" tires do I need to mess with brakes/rotors?
Thanks for the info
I am looking for suggestions on some mods on my 04 Yukon. I really like the "murdered out" look and since my ride is black I was hoping to strip most of the chrome. The only thing I have done to it is get matching tint on the windows. I was thinking about a front body kit to lose the chrome...
