    50K Mile Update

Reliability can be your #1 concern and still not be your ONLY concern. Seems like an easy concept to grasp.

    50K Mile Update

Hi, all. I'm not really active on the forum, but I lurk and read now and then. I don't really customize or change my vehicle much, so there's nothing much interesting for me to say. I just wanted to drop in and say hi, and give an update on my 2015 Denali. Starting at about 10K miles, I...

My thoughts on my '15 SLT VS '16 Denali upgrade after a few months

I don't believe there is a transmission recall, nor do I believe there is a software upgrade. The dealer will "reset" the software, which will delete any "learning" it has done. At least, that's what mine has done on my 15.

Any regrets on model/option(s) when you purchased?

I wish I had gotten the Atmosphere interior. I got the Shale, and it shows ALL the dirt. Other than that, I haven't been disappointed at all.

    The new Tahoe's first tailgate.

Yeah, my Sierra was a 2" drop, as well. The problem with the large drop is that the capacity lowers. The truck is rated for 8K+, but the hitch is limited to 5K on the 8" drop. I'm currently shopping for a higher capacity drop hitch.

    The new Tahoe's first tailgate.

In the mean time, get yourself a proper 8" drop hitch, which is the right height for this vehicle. Honestly, you could probably get away with a 10" drop because of the way they put the receiver so high. ---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:37 PM ----------...

    Retractable running boards or not?

Happened to me the very first time I opened a door of the '15 Denali at the dealer... It's worse when you are walking between the cars like in a parking lot. You're forced to stand close to the side of the vehicle because of the car next to you. I didn't want them for the cost and...

    Retractable running boards or not?

Depends. How much do you like being banged in the shin? "But, you'll get used to it and stand out of the way after a while." Ok, how much do you like hearing about your passengers being banged in the shins? :)

About to order 16 LTZ Tahoe...have Questions.

Whatever makes you happy... We aren't paying for it. :) I was just clarifying that the Denali no longer has the different AWD system like in previous generations.

About to lease new Yukon XL Denali - advice needed

I have seen it. The Cocoa dash and such are a straightforward brown. The Atmosphere leather has a grayish tint to the brown. It reminds me of mud, but I like it.

The Denali has the same 4wd system as the LTZ. 2wd/Auto/4wd High/4wd Low.

About to lease new Yukon XL Denali - advice needed

I have the Summit/Shale. I'm in Texas, so I wanted to go light for the heat. It is hard to keep clean. The leather shows every spot. I would go with the Atmosphere.

    My New Truck

I'm kind of a big deal. Just kidding. My best friend is kind of a big deal, at least at the plant. He just got my order number, asked me when I wanted to come down, scheduled it, then walked me down the line with the truck. I think it's really a "you have to know someone" kind of thing. It...

    Downshifting while passing

Mine will definitely rev when pushed. Sometimes I feel like it should up shift sooner under power.

    Rattling in Driver Door

I occasionally hear the noise in the driver's door. It's only occasionally, and it's a clicking sound, like a cable tapping against something.
