    THAT's exactly what my mechanic thought. I AM the 2nd owner. There a thing that pulls out of a part that was screwed to the lower dash. But - it has no tab or anything to easily pull it out. Without it = disabled. But...I can't help thinking it might be an OEM thing...radio controlled...

    GOT IT ! But - what IS IT ?!?!? While installing a new ignition switch, found this. When holding in Start and nothing...hitting this caused it to start. Looks like some sorta starter interrupt. Taking it out = full start! Has "6900A" on it.

    Nothing worse then "intermittent" problems. My final solution = install a Remote Start button under the dash !!!!

    I think you mean the ECM (Engine Control Module) ? Replaced it. Passlock system wouldn't let it start til I had the Dealer program it. Worked fine for a month, then back to intermittent start.

    No power to the starter, that's why I replaced the ECM and starter relay. Still intermittent start.

    Turn the key on. Dash lights come on. Turn to Start = nothing (no crank)! Try 5 or 6 times and maybe it'll start. Runs fine after that...but it's a crapshoot if it'll start again. May go weeks before this happens again. Replaced: battery, Engine Control Module (programmed by Dealer), Starter Relay.

    2005 YukonXL. Always used FULL Synthetic. Last garage did an oil change with Synthetic Blend!!! Should I go and get another oil change???

    In the middle of West Virginia mountains...maybe Banjo Mtn, I broke down. Hit OnStar and got a reply. Something like "Out of service area" or "No connection" or something like that. OnStar is a TOTAL WASTE !!!

    2005 XL. Always had it and was curious what & why. Only on cold startup and goes away after you drive it. Mentioned it when I picked it up from Dealer for something else and they say "normal". Just wondered after all these years what it is.

    I had it done...drove it in, said I'd pick it up the next morning! They had to drop the front diff (I wouldn't be prepared to do in the driveway). And the gasket is riveted in!!! Yes, replace the O-ring. They also cleaned the intake screen (was 80% sludged up). That was the cause of low oil...

    Broke down once in the mountains of WV. Hit the OnStar and got "No Service in Your Area". Canceled it when I got home. BTW - absolutely true = I don't/never have owned a cell phone! Now I wonder if my Smart TV is watching ME ??? LOL

    Low oil pressure

    You typed the words right off my post on a similar thread. Exact same problem: SLUDGE! Cleaned out the pan & screen...didn't need the O-ring but did it at that point. Pressure back to normal.
