    Driving the Outer Banks on 285/45-22's

    Last week I took the family to the Outer Banks, NC. I was concerned about driving in the sand on the stocks wheels and tires, 285/45-22. I've read the horror stories and seen the clips of "Idiots of Corrola". I did not want to be added to that list. The last vehicle I took Corrola was my 2001...

    Replacement lift cylinder for rear interior cargo box?

    Thanks guys, but I am looking for the cargo box strut, located behind the 3rd row seats. I've searched the usual suspects; Parts Geek, Rock Auto and all the GM parts sites I can find. My liftgate has power actuators. Here are a few pics to reference what I'm looking for;

    Replacement lift cylinder for rear interior cargo box?

    This isn't the struts for the suspension. It is for the cargo box in the rear. Simular to the rear window lift "struts", (the gas pressurized cylinders that hold the window up)

    Has anyone done their own Leveling Kit?

    I would have machined them to save money, but without a lathe and not wanting to cut the studs on the MAG-ride struts, I did the top 1/4 in spacer and 1.5 lower.

    Has anyone done their own Leveling Kit?

    I decided to remove the 2.5 in upper spacer and replace it with a 1/4 inch upper spacer I made and a 1.5 inch lower. This gave me 2.25 inch level. I may remove the 1.5 in lower and go with a 1 inch. Should give me 1.75-2 inch.

    Front level kit results; 2.5, 1.5 and 1 inch

    Stock stance. 2.5 in upper (3.25 in measured) 1.5 in lower w/ .25 upper spacer (2.25 in measured) I may change the lower to the 1 inch, but I'll live with it for awhile.

    Front level kit results; 2.5, 1.5 and 1 inch

    I tend to overthink things. I hope this will help someone in the future. My vehicle; 2015 Suburban LTZ, MAG-ride, auto-level rear, MAX-tow, aluminum upper and lower control arms. My Suburban was very low in the front. I would scrape curbs and parking blocks with my lower valence, I wanted to...

    This gave me too much up front, 3-1/4 inches.

    The instructions are pretty good but don't explain you need to screw the Allen bolts into the adaptor. Pretty self explanatory, but I thought I'd mention it. I added anti-seize due to the dissimilar metals, only put it on the last 3/8 inch of the bolts shank, then inserted into threaded hole...
