For the warranty depends on your skill set. If you have a good scanner and are comfortable replacing modules and stuff like power lift gates, seats, Mag ride shocks, then id skip. I have a 2015 LTZ I bought used in 2019? That I had to make a good amount of repairs on that I did DIY. If I paid...
I have 2 older cars (oldest is a 2006 f150 I bought brand new with 220k miles now) and I can say similar. BUT if I had to pay shop rates and told to replace things that weren’t broken I’d be in a way worse spot for sure. I’d probably let my 2006 f150 go if I couldn’t fix it myself. A mechanic...
Yeah I get that and see where you’re coming from. But for a person who gets sold a transmission when it’s probably just misfires and doesn’t have the knowledge to question and direct the work by a mechanic. I would have said do the plugs, coils, injectors and said don’t touch the tranny until...
Nope just common sense. An “honest” mechanic would charge you $150 an hour so get the warranty. If this guy had an extended warranty or a lease he wouldn’t be bent over a log right now.
There is no “honest” mechanic. They all want to make $$ and will take advantage of anyone that doesn’t know...
The locks on those caps are not that complex. If you have a lock pick kit you can pick it. I’d call my bro over he’s into it lol.
Lock smith also could do it. I wouldn’t drill becuase metal and debris in the fuel tank is bad.
If it’s frozen and jammed spray lubricant/penetrant in there and...
In all honesty and without judgement if you can’t diagnose and repair a vehicle yourself you shouldn’t own one that is 10 years old because going to shops will bankrupt you.
You’d be better off leasing or getting new/newer vehicle and getting the extended warranty. Just my $0.02.
Hope you...
I have Toyo open country R/t for years (on my f150) and they have been awesome. Looks like Toyo offers many tires in their “open country” line. I have these.

IMO best way to wash is with a power washer and foam cannon. That’s how all the pros do it. Lots of stuff on YouTube on how proper technique. Basically use an electric or if gas make sure you use a high flow nozzle to limit the pressure.
Love the power washer because whe. You rinse it down...
Wash in shade of course. Use soft water or DI if you have one. When drying use a leaf blower first to blow the truck off and especially the grill and all areas that you can’t get a microfiber in. Then dry.
If your car is ceramic coated or kept up with good wax you can just use a leaf blower...
About 160k miles. It’s used by my wife for kid transport so makes tons of short trips. Mostly city driving.
I bought it used when it had 104k on the clock. It had no catch can on it for all those miles and I had to pulled the intake to clean the intake valves. They were coated in oil. I...
