Im pretty much doing the same thing you are. Im ordering:
fronts - 24-186643 (0-2.5" lift)
rears - 24-185783 (0-3" lift)
ford keys - XL3Z5B328CA
old part numbers for the shocks were
Front - F4-BE5-C153-H0
Rear - F4-BE5-6682-H8

Currently in a white NBS Z71. Couple small mods. Trying to figure out if I wanna go up with it or not. I did the low life with the SS...white one should be opposite right
I removed the bezel. And taped up the vents/radio areas. If you know how to spray you shouldn't have an issue. If u get overspray on the window it'll come off with a razor. I paint for a living so it was a pretty simple job.
Thanks. The trick is to feather out the edges first with 600 grit paper. Some say you need to adhesion promote the plastic first... (i do custom paint/airbrushing for a living just for reference) and my experience if you just clean the surface well with a degreaser you won't have any adhesion...
Yes. Go to a local auto paint supply shop. They'll most likely have it. If not they can order the correct color. Just so you know there are 3 different pewter colors for our dashes
I just did this in my 02 Z. Works good for the time being. I read the whole thread and some guys are adding the aux directly to the board which bypasses the tape signal all together.
