Well if anyone else has this issue, the supposed pre wired spots are next to impossible to find, and basically require ripping most of the dash out to get to them. Put in my own hole right next to the hood release plug.
Replaced this today with the blacked out version from VIP. Holy crap what a pain in the ass to change it. Had to remove the lower bumper cover completely. Disconnect sensors. Would wrap it 100 times over before doing that again.
Yeah appears to be quite a bit of shrapnel in there either way. Unfortunate, but I did find two other examples of very similar on the interwebs. Same code, same result.
Not really but all cars break. As long as they can fix it quickly no big deal. I just don’t want it to be something where it sits in the shop for weeks.
Pressure was siting about 20-25 at idle and variation between 35-60 while driving. I think this is pretty normal.
We got an update yesterday, that they don’t really know what to do next and waiting for a master tech to come and look at it.
Looks like we are off to a great start. Get P06DD code and limp mode on Saturday. Check oil and it looks extremely dirty. Less than 5k miles on it.
Get oil changed, goes to the dealer and they can’t find anything wrong with it. Have it back an hour and then it does the same thing.

Slowly getting rid of all the chrome.
Got the rear bumper trim from VIP.
Added night shades to rear reflectors and then painted the exhaust as I couldn’t find anything after market for it.
