    Replaced the starter. Sweated my ass off in the driveway. But changing the starter was a breeze on this thing compared years ago on my 94 s10 blazer. Since it was 4wd shit was in the way. Took forever fighting it out. Also found my slight exhaust leak.

    Put new battery in. Found new problem. The starter gear is floating around and rattling. Can’t catch a break this week. Anyone know if you can repair it instead of replacing the whole starter.

    Interstate agm and don’t know came with the vehicle. If I were to guess over 3 years. They didn’t mark out the date indicator sticker go figure. They were good. Couldn’t get the battery to charge up with putting the clips directly to the posts.

    I’ve been wanting to get back into it with that style I’ve got some old ones in the garage that don’t work. The price to get them going again I can get new ones. I have an old nitro monster truck that I haven’t fired up since high school. Nitro was cool but pain in the ass. And expensive.
