Remove and clean battery terminals and posts. Also clean the connection on the positive cable between the two layers. It can be disassembled as shown here.
Use a long screwdriver and touch each rotating assembly while running i.e. A/C pump, P/S pump, alternator, etc and put your ear to the end of the screwdriver. It acts as a stethoscope of sorts.
This can help you narrow down the culprit here.

Check your local junkyards. Swapping the entire llftgate, not just the glass, may be an easier option for you.

When you say “left side” are you referring to driver or passenger side?
There is a bracket that the rear of the alternator is mounted to. If that bracket is missing, then that threaded hole has no use.

I can appreciate the OEM look myself too. I have original rims on (2) other vehicles I can always swap if I get tired of these 2018 Silverado rims...
