Not that I feel it’s the problem for the leak but the torque for the M8 bolts from the pan to the block is 18 FT LBS. And the 2 long M6 bolts are 106 IN LBS.
Without actually seeing it the leak is either a piece of trash on the pan rail, not enough rtv in the corners or did you make sure the...
Really?? I’m definitely not tightening it enough then. 1/2” impact??
Just to clarify; on the tool that sets the tension / preload on the bushings? I had NO idea that I needed to put them that tight.
Thanks for the info.
I’ve tightened mine up 3 times in 10k miles. Still clunking. I guess I’m not tightening them up enough. I guess I will give it another try. Either they will quiet up or I’ll break em. Lol.

Best guess although I’ve never seen this happen on an LS.
Running bad or any CEL? Did you remove the pan already?

+10 on voting for keeping them black on light colors. Esp white.
The only thing worse is when people paint the original waffle style ones light colors.
That fuse holder could have melted like that from a poor connection inside the fuse holder. All it has is 2 female slide in connectors.
I had a customers car with a loose wire to the battery terminal that melted the lead on the terminal cause it was loose.
