    6l80 interchangeably (putting 2017 trans into 2011)

The lines on the 2011 will bolt right up, the transmission cases are the same luckily

From what I can find the ONLY difference is the TECHM and torque converter. ALL other internal parts are the same (using rock autos parts listing). I plan on rebuild my TECHM and ordering the correct OEM torque converter for my 2011, should be good to go.

I could understand the valve body and obviously TECHM but I plan on swapping those over to it so no reprograming is required

I have a 2011 Tahoe, I have access to a 2017 6L80, could I use the 2017 transmission in my 2011 if I swap my TECHM and valve body over to it?

    Catch can fills up quickly

That’s a good idea, my older GTR had a catch can with a drain back into the oil pan. Doing it that way was a maintenance free setup

I agree 100%, it’s catching what otherwise would be coating on the valves or burning, although it’s been stock up till 112k miles when I put it on.

New PCV installed, 225 miles later still getting quite a bit in the can:

    Catch can fills up quickly

113k miles. Removing the oil fill cap during idle shows no excessive crankcase pressure. Normal idle rpm.the PCV is integrated into the valley cover, no idea how to check if it’s stuck open on these

    Catch can fills up quickly

I definitely have it hooked up correctly. I’m starting to think it’s normal with all the oil burning complaints on the Gen V’s.

    Catch can fills up quickly

I have a 2015 Yukon, 5.3, I installed a catch can and it fills up rather quick, about 1oz every 100 miles, that’s a lot of oil it would just burn if I didn’t have this installed. It that normal for these? The oil in it smells and looks just like that, oil, no hint of other contamination like...
