Alright I know it been a minute but I figured it out. It was the starter. Thanks ks03 for the help. I finally had the opportunity to check it out and swap it today. So nice not to hear that rattle squeaking noise anymore.
It isnt my exhaust and no I haven’t had time to dig into it more. Going to pull the starter next. As suggested by ks03 probably be the weekend before I can.
What your saying is exactly what it does when the noise starts. I’ve tried brake torquing and it doesn’t duplicate. I did have it on ramps the other day when I crawled under it and hit the exhaust when it started. I’ll pull the starter next chance I get and check that.
Sorry for delayed response was sick over the weekend. Just got a chance to get under it again yesterday evening. I got a sound clip but can’t figure out how to load on here. But what I found is puzzling. I checked the heat shields again removed the plugs on the bell housing couldn’t see anything...
Yea I knew it wouldn’t be a wheel bearing. I was thinking bout Having the front up actually since it seems to do it when the front end unloads a little off the suspension form a start or braking in reverse. But I’ll do the rear as well see what happens. Prob be closer to the weekend. I have...
Anyone had any experience with torque convertor bolts causing this ? It’s weird cause it doesn’t do it at idle. It sounds as if it is coming from underneath. That’s why I’m wondering about the bolts.
Almost sounds like a lose heat shield/pulley. But at idle it’s quiet. Just from dead stop or reverse then braking. I’ve hit the exhaust front and rear. One guy I work with said maybe a wheel bearing but I’ve had those go out and and it’s always been a roar or grind.
Anyone have and advice on where I have developed a rattle from. It’s an 02 tahoe 4wd and It only does it when I accelerate from a stop or go in reverse and stop. It seems like when the front end is unloaded is when it happens. I’ve crawled under it beat with a dead blow hammer and found...
Hey just looking for advice on a remote start/alarm. Good brand price and install info. My Tahoe is an 02 so is there anything I would need other than the system. Thanks for any info.
