Selling a set of used factory power assist steps with control module that will fit a 2015-2020 Escalade ESV, Suburban or Yukon XL. Working fine when removed from vehicle. Asking $1000. Prob too large to ship (located in Mobile, AL). Will also include a new necessary custom wiring harness...
Wanted to provide an update. I changed the oil again (567 miles on it) and inspected the drain pan. Still seeing some flakes, but much less than the previous time.
I added a magnetic drain plug as well. Found one the same size as OE with a rubber washer.
I also opened up the filter...
@PPK_ Here's what's crazy... That pic of the oil with metal debris has 8 miles on it. After the initial 0W-40 fill done at 48,967mi by the selling dealer, I wanted to start fresh with 5k mile oil change intervals beginning at 50k miles to keep things easy to track. I had the oil changed by my...

For those of you that have pulled an engine oil sample through the dipstick, what size of tubing did you use? I've tried a 1/4" OD hose with no luck. It seems to hit a hard stop before entering the pan. An image of the dipstick appears to show that it necks down at the bottom. I've got some...
Congrats on the new purchase. If it's only those trim pieces that are of concern, I believe the most economical option would be to have them wrapped. The challenge would be finding an acceptable wrap with the desired sheen & texture. Especially if the dash trim pieces are swapped for the OE...
Was just about to start a thread about this and came across yours. I'm experiencing the same issues with my 23 Yukon Denali Ultimate. Appears to be random and I haven't identified a specific action or circumstance that causes it to occur. I'll have mine in for service soon and will be sure to...
