could be a leaking castec cylinder head.. If you have a 706 casting number on your head, those puppies were bad about leaking coolant into the oil.. Do a net search on castec cylinder head
the blend door actuator behind the radio does the passenger side.. driver side is above the hump...
I had the drivers side hot last summer,, took the actuator out, and apart and cleaned.. works like a champ..
the passenger side now is being dumb, and it's the bastard part behind the radio...
the blend door act for the other side is behind the radio! That was the easy one to get to.. There is also one on the drivers side above the hump that controls the air location(defrost,floor,vent, ect)..
Word of advice.. The back bolt in the long panel that he removed to get to the blend door...
A sunshell can fail at any time,, given they usually fail when you are gassing it in reverse.. I had two sunshells fail in the same tranny,, and after they installed a beast, it's been bulletproof! Glad they fixed your issues!

A tahoe/yuke is just not made for offroading.. The suspension is designed for comfort, low ground clearence, ect..
Get a truck, and put a camper shell on it..lol
those stupid things burn out... to replace you have to remove the steerring wheel, and replace the switches I believe..
A couple of mine are out, but after a while you memorize what buttons are what..
my awd tahoe with michelins versus my silverado with 4wd and mud tires,,,, my silvy did better in 2wd than the hoe did with awd.. it's all about the tires.
the awd systems aren't for the hard core offroading, the t-case looks teeny tiny, and you have an open rear diff..
I guess if you junked the running boards, install some skid plates, installed a locker in the rear,, it would be a step in the right direction.
Yup, always 4 wheel drive.. 4 LO is just a gear reduced speed with stabilitrak disengaged.. There is still a power split, as there is a viscus differental inside the borg warner transfer case.

That stupid traction control will cut your throttle if it senses any wheel spin.. Not saying to go blasting into sand with all 4 spinning,, but it's best to turn off the stabilitrak/traction control if you know you will be in sand or mud.. If not, you are gonna get stuck..

I did not see the part about autoride in the OP..
My hoe does not have autoride, so someone with more knowledge will have to chime in,,, but I think autoride is just some kind of air adjustable ride system,, and they can be changed to a regular type system.. Might wanna search the forum for...
