Yes a transmission drain plug would be helpful in some situations, but the real problem is the GM design engineers that routed a crossover pipe under the transmission pan probably causing increased temperatures to the transmission and making it more difficult and costly to do a filter and fluid...
Nope… my dealer quoted me $1050 to do a filter and fluid change. Both sides of the exhaust need to be disconnected, plus the removal of the O2 sensor I believe on the passenger side. Plus refill has some specific requirements at temperature.

The results are sent to a special team at GM while your vehicle sits at the dealership They only release it after a Pass ok from GM
