I am looking to replace my brakes this weekend, this thread has a lot of great information.
I wanted to ask tho, I looked at Rock Auto, looked at the Raybestos front and rear kits. I then looked for them the same SKU’s on Amazon.
The prices were comparable, so I am curious if anyone has used...
I need a recommendation for the best battery tender to install on my in-laws 2006 Tahoe.
It is an LT model with a lot of electronics on it.
There is a parasitic battery drain I I haven’t been able to isolate.
We are on the third battery so far, as they don drive it much and they can’t...
Hey gang, my in-laws have a 1
2006 Tahoe, and their sunroof has developed a leak.
I have tried to find one, but cannot seem to locate the gasket for this, could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Have a great day!
Yes, mine has the the terminal strip on top of the battery.
The terminals were clean, with out ant corrosion, I did make sure all the connections were tight while I was working on it.
I was a bit surprised given that it is a 2015, but everything is clean and tight.
I do wish it had the...
Replaced the battery tonight.
The one that was in it was at 12.03 volts when I tested it after pulling it out.
The brand was Energy Power, a brand I have never head of, definitely not OEM. No date sticker either.
I was a bit perturbed that the hold down was not very tight and the coolant...
I checked the battery voltage when I got home, my meter shows 12.2 volts.
I looked at what grounds I could find and they all seem clean and tight.
I didn’t realize how crammed in these batteries were. So I am debating on just getting a new battery to see if it solves the issue. I haven’t...
A few weeks ago my wife told me the radio was acting weird in our 2015 GMC Yukon SLT. She also said there was a security system reset message on the center screen.
I drove it a week ago and it started it again.
The touchscreen would still respond to certain things, but the physical knobs and...
Thanks for the responses.
The compressor rotates, albeit a bit tight.
I will get a belt and tensioner (as they are needed anyway) along with a new relay and pressure switch to see what happens.
I did some work on my 2001 Tahoe today.
I periodically fire it up as it is not currently a daily driver.
I noticed that there was a significant belt squeal, combined with the AC not working at all.
Checked the relay in the fuse box, and it was warm, nut not hot, with out the AC button the...
My 2015 Yukon SLT has navigation, but it kinda sucks, and I am not sure buying upgrade it worth the cost.
It seems the website that was doing it has gone the way of the infamous dodo bird.
I was wondering if I could find a 2016 (as I understand in 2016, Apple Car Play/Android Auto were...
I bought from my father in law who had used it for work, but he retired after he was injured.
They had an 06 that was thier daily driver.
This one sat until the 06 had its transmission ate itself.
They had an oil change done on the 01, but found water in the crankcase (probably from...
Today, I washed the three years of green growth off my 2001 Tahoe.
I am pretty impressed that the 22 year od paint job is still in decent shape, seeing how it never spent any time in a garage.
I still have to deep clean the interior, but for how long it sat, it has nothing growling inside...
I did the process 3 times as described.
Given that it doesn’t have the RPO code for keyless entry, AU0, and no fobs were supplied upon purchase directly off a Chevrolet dealership lot, I am pretty much certain that this rig was/is not equipped with keyless entry.
I will be pulling the gage...
