seems like a steal, not bad of a price either. things to watch for, castec heads, air ride suspension going bad, fueling problem.

may be worth the visit to look at in person and hear it run/inspect it.

Appreciate the input. I thought the castech heads issue was mainly on the 4.8/5.3L engines? Was this also an issue with the 6.0's in the Denalis?

Fairly clean for the year.....interior is pretty dirty and what's up w that rear bumper?
I'd work on the price for sure.... but super low miles...she's barely broke in.
Go check it out :waytogo:

Looks good and low miles. Nice blue too. Price seems maybe a bit high even for low miles and good condition. Be worth that test drive and personal inspection of course.

Looks very clean. Price does seem a tad high.
Was it rear ended? Not to sure about the rear of Denali, but I really don't think missing half of the rear plastic piece on the bumper was part of the look GM went for.

Good eye you both have. I never even noticed that rear bumper. I did notice the interior and carpeting are pretty dirty/stained.

Car fax shows no accidents. Wonder if was something minor and never reported or someone backed into something.

Remember...Denali s are AWD all the time (low mpg)!!! Suburban trannys have 4-wheel high/low and 2-wheel high (best mpg). I have a "hybrid" kinda' tranny GMC XL SLT...the 3 buttons with the squiggly line... 2-to-4 wheel drive computer controlled (good 20-22 mpg on the highway).

The power of the 6.O made it worth it for me to go with Denali despite the gas mileage. I love my 2006. Just got a me,atransmission and it drives like a new car.

what is there specific to look at in regards to the heads? compression testing?? anything to look for re suspension, etc. tell tale signs or things to point to a mechanic that should be addressed/replaced/repaired?

I just got my 06 deniali xl from carmax and have 3 more weeks on their warranty.
TIA

Bladder on rear shocks are dry rotted, appear to have fluid leaking from them. With the key on during first start, you should hear the compressor air the shocks up, if not,it's blown or you have a bad unit or bad shocks. Service air ride message in the doc as well. Milky oil is a a telltale sign of coolant making its way into the oil via either a cracked/warped head or bad head gasket. Difficulty fueling vehicle ( excessive handle squeezes and fuel pumps pennies or dollars at a time) are an indication for the failed evap system.. Tins of threads on all these issues on this forum

So when I turn my key on, I don't hear any noise @ all no air compressor noise. Sign that it's bad potentially?
