so I’m currently settled in a location in Afghanistan; and I do a lot of ready and research. so I wanted to see what everyone else would do. so here is my question to you all:

I have a '12 Tahoe and would like to know what all you would do to it if you had say $1500 to spend?

so here is a list of things already done:

In dash DVD/Nav
headrest monitor
Res delete
Air Raid intake tube/KN Filter
window vents
Husky liner floor mats
LED interior lights all
Husky cargo liner

things i want: MBRP exhaust, BB Tune, Sundown 8.

So with that said I believe that the Truck should be/say Clean,Elegant, usefull

For me...I did rims. But I do not see that on your list. Any reason why ur not considering wheels?

Maybe some pics and back ground so we can get a feel for ur ride.

well wheels and a suspension kit are a lil futher down on my list of thigs to do. the reason being its a '12 Tahoe with only 5k miles. so as you can see im in no rush to buy tires when i have new ones. plus i really havent found a set that i just have to have. i know i want to do a 2/3 drop with air bags for pulling. but as far as more info ill try to list a lil more info

Its a Black Granit LT with leather sec row is capt. and sunroof. i have a set of Polk Audios comp i could install, just not in a hurry to tackle that yet. The truck really is the wifesand one kid, but i drive it when ever. but we mostly use it for shopping/ long trips. other than that it just sits as my wife doesnt work. but i like driving stuff no one else has so i guess wheels and a drop should be on the list but i would rather put that money to things people leave out to get the wheels and suspension if that makes since. like i done want to get that then regret not doing the smaal things that matter just as much. (i hope that makes sense). also i forgot to say that im going to be asking about getting the hitch cover. if there is anything else you would like to know let me know.

Def get the 2nd headrest monitor. I'm pretty sure just one monitor looks out of place.
And pics of how it currently looks might help us out a bit.

Projector retrofit to get rid of the crappy headlights. Other than that, Small things like a in-dash usb instead of the cigarette lighter, changing the trim from woodgrain to brushed aluminum if you like that look and window tint all around.

G4 or G5 esky taillights and 3rd brakelight w/ full led conversion of course(hit up serge, he can tell you who to go to) Tinting your stock tails if you don't wanna get new ones.

I second going with the g4 or g5 tails and full LED Third. Couple that with some front tint and full exterior LED lights (DRL, Puddle Lights and License Plate) and you have a nice change to the exterior.

You could upgrade the stock grille and Body match the bow tie's as well, or do a complete demold and debadge.

Since your looking to do suspension down the road, you could do just the rear sway bar upgrade now, which provides a huge increase in handling, even on stock height trucks.

Hey Bro......

I had a set that hyperflashed.....

Driver side.

It was more of the fear of not being able to return them ...... lol.

I bought from CarID.......and they had the attitude "it is not defective" and wanted me to send them pix of the hyperflashing...... I was like..... seriously?

I got my money back after I brought up that I would contest the cc charge.

A lot of other folks have had issues (moisture related) with the G4s..... but not the G5s.

Good to know. I guess I lucked out with mine since I had them on for a few years without any problems. Although I've been running stock tails for the past year after getting pulled over several times for having the g4's tinted to dark lol.

I do like the lines of the G4s A lot.

I did not want to do the oem G5s because of having to change appliques...... but that does not matter anymore..... as I bought a set of those.

I have so many parts in boxes waiting to be installed. Lol.

Yea G'5 without escalade appliques don't flow right. Your build has been coming along nicely. I'm sure you can't wait to get everything on!

Am I the only one that puts the mods on my kon as soon as the packages arrive? Lol

i forgot to say it but i debadged it the week i got it and covered both Bowtie's in Black

ill have to look into a rear sway bar. coming from a Subaru with full suspension and a del sol with the same i do lnot like the swaying of the truck. but can you give me more input on you rear bar change?

The sway bar upgrade makes a very noticeable improvement in keeping the rear more planted to the road and minimizing sway. My tahoe has a 2/3 drop and DJM front and rear sway bars and it was a night and day difference. There is no sway and the rear stays planted. On stock height trucks it will help reduce the sway as well, but not as much as if you are lowered. Our stock height escalade has just the rear sway bar, and the sway is pretty much gone, it handles better, and it didn't make the ride harsh.

As far as the DRL LEDs, the size is 3157. I went with the VLED's from here. http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/3157-led-bulb-dual-intensity-45-smd-led-tower/633/
