Next pay check I'm gonna invest in a nice one. This wal Mart one seems to make the voltage meeter bounce. Very odd. Alternator maybe needs a look at.

Are you using the batt only as a starter batt or for a bunch of electronics and other stuff that will drain your batt?

Well that doesn't bother me too much. I know I can pull the alternator and have it tested to be good or bad. Then go from there.

The Walmart Everstart actually gets really good reviews. I've used them in a few vehicles over the last few years with no problems and easy replacement for the couple that have gone bad.

I used to use only Optima red tops although the last few I've had weren't very good. The first one was still kicking 7 years after I purchased it. The next couple only gave me a little more than the 3 year warranty before needing to be replaced.

The next batteries I'll buy will likely either be the Walmart Everstart or an Interstate brand.

I'm glad im not the only one that has the same reviews about the Red tops. The price went up and the quality went down. (Just like everything else)

I don't think I will buy another after the ones I have now die.

My Chevy shop told me that AcDelco was the only recommended battery for my truck. But I guess that is one way to sell their own brand of batteries.

My Chevy shop told me Chevy never made a license plate bracket for the 00-06 Tahoe....funny how many I've seen on every tahoe/yukon/sierra/silverado since they told me that.

If its a just starter batt only, anything that will fit under the hood will be fine. I have a carquest and its pushing my 1900 watt system. I'm going to get a diehard platinum this week though. Oddly, I can't find any specs on the carquest like cold cranking amps or amp hours. It would be nice to know to see exactly what my current batt will do. I think I paid like $130 for it installed when I got an oil change a few months ago. I might sell it if you want to buy it.

Sears Diehard is the only one i will ever use. All my trucks and cars get them. They are great and the warranty is great. What a difference it makes when you use a good battery.

I'll +1 this, if only because Sears has one of the best warranty/return/exchange policies left in the country and I've never had an issue with them honoring it.
