My cheapo system is in! I spent about than $250 on this.
Scosche line out converter $20
Scosche 1200w 6 gauge wire kit $40
2 Rockford Fosgate HX2 10" subwoofers, box, Kenwood 1000w amp $150
Subwoofer volume knob $8
Boss 6.5s and 4x10s $35

This box sucks, I need to stick them in ported boxes on each side so these hx2's can reach their full potential.

Nice truck and great thread of the work that you are doing. I noticed that you have the clear headlights with H.I.D's, are you getting any flashers from oncoming traffic, because I see those do not have the glare sheild. I like the led's under the seats for the rear passangers, looks like a movie theather, lol, nice though. I also see a lot of dirt in the paint, next wash, get some Joy dish detergent and wash her well and put some Meguiars Cleaner Wax and bring that shine back then use a polish and see that mirror finish, then for the next few months use the Meguiars soft soap to wash. Just use the Joy before waxing to remove the old wax.

No flashing yet with the HIDs. I haven't had them in that long though...

The oak trees are dropping pollen like crazy right now so it really needs a wash. The meguiars cleaner wax is good stuff. That's what I've been using for the last couple months. It really cleaned up the paint when I bought it. I have to do something about the hood and roof though, the paint is flaking off.

Got rid of the Cobra 6-band radar detector and picked up a Premier 22-band (model# EW-4100). It works great, but the only thing I don't like is that when it turns on the voice says "Welcome!, Fasten your seatbelt!". Kinda annoying. Got it for a great price though, only $60 from ebay.

I was planning on tearing the radio apart and adding auxiliary inputs because I'm using a cassette adapter right now, but I just said F-it when I found a PAC adapter for only $33.

Installed. I had to cut the 3 unused connectors for the adapter to fit. I don't plan on ever using any of those circuits for anything...

What a mess of wires! Uggh! Spaghetti anyone? Ipod 3.5mm audio cable, ipod audio/video cable, TV monitor cable, backup camera, and 8 red wires for the line out converter.

I moved the rear view camera switch to a better location near the shifter (I don't have mine wired to the reverse).

Worth the $15.

I feel ya man. It was a pain in the ass finding the right diagrams for the radio so I could wire up the line out converter.

My digital voltmeter finally got here from china. It was only $5 on ebay. I got blue, but they also have red and green.

Temporarily taped to the cluster. I will move it to a better spot in a week or two when I have my dremel.

As you can see, the stock meter shows just below 14v, but this meter shows 13.3v. I don't think the stock gauge is very accurate. For example, when the subwoofer is bumpin' the stock gauge drops 1-2 volts, but this new meter only shows a 0.2 volt drop.

I couldn't wait to get back home. :D I hope to do some bigger mods this summer now that I have a garage to work in. The to-do list has exhaust cutouts, front window tint, custom cnter console fo my other 7" lcd screen (for Nav and dvd), and ported subwoofer boxes.

My new rearview mirror arrived from Shanghai. Its a mirror with a 7" screen behind the dash.
2 RCA video inputs, one has a back up cam trigger wire.
RCA audio outputs
USB and sd card inputs
Bluetooth with microphone

It's awesome!! I got it on eBay for $65.

Thats pretty sweet. So let me get this straight. When the display is not on it acts like a regular mirror??

Yeah it is actually a pretty good mirror when its off. The bluetooth works with the screen off too.

This pic is when it was off. You can see the barn doors and the driveway/road behind the truck:
