After just four months and less than 4,000 miles, I sold the 2008 LT. In those few miles it was in the shop TWICE for engine oil leaks (they replaced the rear main - WTF? and then, when it was still leaking, the oil pan gasket) and this week, the last straw- the dash cracked above the instrument cluster on Tuesday morning.

The truck went to carmax with 44,900 miles. With those problems already, I just didn't trust it and the powertrain warranty was coming to its end. The good news? Carmax bought it for just a little more than I paid for it. They can't keep them on the lot right now and were happy as heck to get mine.

I'm happy to be keeping and running the wheels off my 02. 215K on the clock and still running strong. Built better than the 08 and a lot more comfortable (for me anyway). I might keep an eye out for another low mileage NBS tahoe or suburban.

Amen to the more comfortable comment. The NNBS are so uncomfortable. My 04 seat is like a LaZBoy chair.

I like my 04 waaay better than my wifes 07. Ive got 120K and hers has 40K. Given the choice I take mine whenever we go somewhere. I really wish I could convince her to sell it and get a NBS. But she really likes the car like bumpers more than the "truck" bumpers I have.

Oh well. And Ive already had the dash replaced at 36K miles. Luckily it didnt cost me a dime even though I had no warranty and I wasnt the original owner.

I just had my first major issue with my Esky. The AC wasn't getting cold so I brought it into the dealer. Turns out the compressor and fuel pump needs to be replaced along with a bunch of other AC related stuff to the grand total of $2000+. Luckily I bought the top of the line warranty to cover it!!

Sorry, but I disagree on the comfort part. I love my NBS Yukon, but the NNBS BURB I just purchased for the Mrs. is WAY MORE COMFORTABLE in any aspect, IMO anyway.

I'm a pretty big guy- 6'6" and just could not get comfortable in the 08 (cloth) seats. After about an hour, I'd start squirming. Two hours and my back would start to get sore. I just could not find a seat position that would work for me. And that stupid bulge in the dash (by the radio and HVAC) was right where my right knee had to go. It just wasn't working for me. There are certainly enough of them on the road that plenty of people don't agree.

My brother is highway patrol and has put plenty of miles on both NBS and NNBS on the job. He warned me I wouldn't like the NNBS compared to the NBS. I thought he was full of sh*t but live and learn....

And WTF is up with the cloth that GM uses on the 08 seats? That shit is like velcro, everything and anything sticks to them and there is no way in hell you vacuum them clean. I had to use the sticky side of tape to get lint and fuzz off. I'm OCD about keeping my vehicles clean and that drove me insane. I thought the new ford seats were bad- you can stain them with water- but these were just as annoying. I was counting the days until I could get leather installed.

I'll still always love the styling of the NNBS- they look awesome. Great design and I don't want to hammer them any more because of all the guys that have them and love them. I guess I'm just an old school NBS'r....:hands:

LOL. I was travelling with family and my brother was following us in his E-Class Mercedes. At a stop he got into the drivers seat of the 02 'hoe and that is exactly what he said - "It's a laZBoy!"

Oh Lord, the cloth seats! I completely agree! Jesus, it looks like a squirrel has been nesting in it. Combined with my long hair shedding and denim transfer, it's awful. The interior on my old truck was solid, it always looked clean. When I was looking for one and reading reviews, I saw that as a big complaint, but brushed it off as picky women just bitching. Nay, it really is annoying.

I have leather in the 07 and we take long trips in it a few times a year and I find it very comfy  I also find the NBS rides comfortable too but I can't really say which is most comfortable :)

I completely agree!! I had an 01 Z71 Tahoe with leather and it is WAY more comfortable then the 08 Tahoe I had before and my current 07 avy and Esky. The seats were bigger and it was more spacious.

Maybe the difference is leather vs. cloth?

My NBS Yukon has cloth, the NNBS Burb has leather. I find the leather more comfortable as one slides in there better and as pointed out earlier, on the cloth I feel like I am somewhat restricted, stuck to the seat????!!!!!!

Maybe the NBS was geared towards more room in the front. Im 6'8 and 275lbs.

I get numbness in my feet and back if I drive the 07 for more than an hour. I drove my 04 for 6 hours and no problems.

Both my 07 and 04 have leather but I haven't been in a NNBS without leather to compare.

I had an 02 with leather at work today and the front seats were no where near as comfy as mine. They were harder than mine.

6'8 damn your tall. im just 5'11 and find the Yukon comfortable. if the nbs seats were anything like the seats on my 01 Silverado then they SUCK IMO.

I think that might be it. My 01 Tahoe leather seats were big and comfy and the NNBS can't even touch it. My current escalade even has upgraded leather from the nnbs tahoe/yukon and it still isn't as comfy as the NBS leather seats.
