I have a 01 hoe. She is bone stock when it comes to the engine. The tires are Bf goodrich km2 (mud terrain) the stock keys are cranked up. I love this truck to death! But the MPGs are killing me. The other day i was excited when i got an average of 10.6 Miles Per Gallon. Then realizing i can only go 215-225 miles on a tank that excitement fell. Its costing me $75 a week to fill the beast up. Im just curious if im the only one out there suffering from a gas guzzling Hoe.

Thanks in advance

I used to get that. But that was before the tires. The tires arent big (285/75/16). The first few tanks were a killer.

I'm getting 13.5 in the city and 17 on average on the highway. Unless I am pulling my car trailer the it gets about 14 on the highway.

12.8mpg with 95% city driving in moderate traffic.

Stock '01 Denali.

In comparison, our '07 Escalade with the stock 22"s gets 11.3 in 95% city driving.

Damn am I the only one in the 11's? I usually get 11.5 -11.8 in the city depending on driving habits. I don't drive enough highway to get a good accurate measurement.

If I use the remote start for too long to often it dips into the high 10's low 11's.

Thats with the 22's everything else bone stock!

New plugs, wires & o2's went in over the summer.... Might have to look into a tune and possibly CAI!

My combo in my VMAX 6.0, LPP lontubes, Offroad Ypipe, MIT Airaid Intake, Chipped up, 305/50/20s a 32" tire, gets 320 miles a full tank. Thats with 3.73s, and Im about to switch to 4.88s in a few weeks. IMO its about how its tuned and setup, and how efficient your combo is.

SC88: I did the quest for mileage last summer. O2 sensors found 1 or 2 mpg. Plugs, wires, and CAI cost me 1 or 2.

You guys with the 35s and 6in lifts seem to get decent mileage!

I average 13.5 to 14.5. 17 on the highway, down hill wind at my back.
