I can't find anything on this so I thought i'd start a new thread. For all of you who didn't have the factory nav screen but added it, did you guys by a factory OEM or aftermarket GPS Antenna? Reason I ask is on eBay, the OEM one's run at the lowest $60 shipped while an aftermarket one runs $20 shipped. Thoughts? If I can save $40 I will, but if the aftermarket is known to be ******, then i'll cough up the extra change to get the OEM... Thoughts? I have rear entertainment/bose/onstar but no factory nav so i'm really looking to get this put in ASAP. I was going to go with the Kenwood aftermarket nav but couldn't pass up Nortex's deal on the factory nav screen.

$20: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GMC-...udio_Video&hash=item415c1c203e#ht_3161wt_1057

$60: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2010-G...ps=63&clkid=2431542592885810732#ht_4373wt_905

Which one? Need to buy one nowwwwwwwwww!!! Thanks guys.

I honestly don't know what is involved with building a gps antenna ... but an old friend once told me to go oem and never worry about compatibility. Wait, that was you! :)

I'll let ya know. Nortex said he was gonna ship the nav screen yesterday so hopefully its on its way. Ordered the oem gps antenna that was shipped yesterday. Now I need another gmx550 lockpick, a Bluetooth 09+ vcim, and Bluetooth antenna to make it complete :(

I installed the factory nav screen/gps antenna/CCD Rear cam Kit yesterday. Did NOT have to purchase the VSS Wiring Kit (aka brown connector) and everything ran smooth. 200 for the install and 100 for the dealer flash using their Tech II programmer to do a VIN re-learn on the nav head unit. Well worth every penny. Here it is:

Felix, looks great. Just noticed that you don't have a DVD slot, do you not have rear DVD on your rig?

Thanks! The DVD slot is right on top of the nav screen. It's part of the whole head unit as one piece. Yes I have the rear entertainment DVD option.
