my dash lights stopped working tonight along with the a/c lights on the dash and on both overhead units. All the dash lights stopped working, except the seat buckle light along with the servicing lights/messaging center, fuel etc.. but all other interior lights work, meaning dome on others. I have checked the "ILLUM" fuse, and it is not bad, replaced incase with no success. don't have a wiring schematic, nor hope to have to delve into the wiring, as it is never fun. If anybody has any help, ideas or no what might be the problem or how to fix it, would be greatly appreciated. I know it has to be wiring, as it just spontaniously happened, and it's not just the dash. PLEASE HELP!! thanks, everybody.

I will check that this evening. We bought our Denali 5 days ago from CarMax. Debating if we should give it back and get another vehicle. I really like the look and feel especially for long drives and in climate weather.

I have tried everything. I found a wiring schematic online today, am going to go thru it with a hot wire tester to try to trace the problem from the fuse or dash. did your lights just stop working out of now where, all at once? crazy huh any help would be appreciated though. thanks

Having problems with my tachometer. The little sucker keeps rattling around making an annoying sound when it idles. Can u give me any tips either to just replace or is it something simple. Have not got around to taking it out yet .trying to find an excuse to tell wifey we should exchange for a escalade cluster gauge. Yeah that's the ticket! Any help would be highly appreciated!

If you just bought the car from Carmax, they should have a warranty and fix whats wrong.

My Denali is okay. I got home and checked the Dimmer Switch and it was set to the off position. Everything the lights went on (AUTO Setting) the interior went black. Wife is very happy and is learning all the gadgets and knobs. Thanks for all the assistance.
WHITEOUT: I will check with some people I just met about your issue and see if they have any insight.

Did anyone ever figure this out? My cluster, a/c panel, and rear a/c are out. I was thinking maybe a bad dimmer switch? Any help would be great. Thanks,

I figured mine out.... I took the switch out and apart. On the internal circuit board was a burnt trace (a break in the circuitry that is imprinted in the board) I found it after taking a meter and toning each trace from where the power was supplied to the module, tracings each line until the tone failed. Turns out it was the heavy trace at the top that supplies the littler traces that work with the dimmer. One dot of solder in the visually open trace break and all is working well again. 10 minute fix if you know what you are looking for. Good luck - Darren

I had the same problem with my 01 yukon and it was the light switch and the 4x4 push button they both went bad . the 4x4 switch shorted out the light switch and that is why i had no power to the illum fuse
