Keeping it short. Ordered 2nd row driver side seat belt w/retractor. The retractor was wound up so tight I can't get it to release. Is there a hidden tab/release? Any ideas? TIA

it has to be tilted at the exact same angle as it is when installed in the vehicle, it's kind of like a trick box.
if you can't get it just keep trying eventually you will, just how they are designed.

Man oh man! That was the trick. I was able to force about 1/2" back into the retractor and very slowly I was able to get the belt to unwind. I attached a small c-clamp to the belt so it won't retract anymore. Thank you so much @Doubeleive!
