Just curious, what is a safe oil pressure range?

generally 7 psi per 1k rpm, thats minimum. My truck usually idles a little below 40 and about 60ish on the interstate. The newer models have less oil pressure so idle around 25 and 40ish on interstate

Well I replaced my valve cover in 30 minutes with the redesigned valve cover from GM. Hopefully it will help oil consumption and white smoke problem.
If your here can you tell me if the redesigned valve cover also has the non serviceable pcv valve as well?

it does NOT have a serviceable PCV.
The original poorly designed vc on the inside has a ROUND port located between 2 hold down bolts. The improved vc on the inside has a SQUARE port located above the last hold down bolt.
