I know factory recommended is usually the best advice but given what I’ve seen on the 6.2s and I think I saw that the lower oil viscosity was to blame there.
I’ve seen comments that 0w-20 is used in these motors for the sake of fuel economy but doesn’t offer as much protection as 5w-30.
I will be deleting AFM so no worries there and I’m thinking of using 5w-30 since my 08 Tahoe already uses it.
Thoughts before I do my first oil change to my new to me burban?
