Hey all,
Wife’s Yukon currently has a 2” lift on the factory shock. Roughly 85k miles know and pretty sure I’ve got a front upper ball joint going out. I’m wanting to replace the upper a-arms and shocks and want to go up to a 3-3.5” lift. What’s the best way to get the extra lift with bilstein 5100’s? Can I just use the rough country kit and assemble it with the bilstein shocks?
Thanks!

If you are going from the Rough Country 2" spacer kit to Bilstein you'll need a new set of strut mounts since the shock bolts get cut during the RC install.

I have Rough Country's 3 1/2 on a '08 Tahoe Z71. That kit for the '08 is designed to use factory length shocks, front and rear. I have the 5100's that are the stock replacement part numbers. I'd call Rough Country to confirm that kit is the same (designed for stock shocks) for your year model. For the price, it's a decent kit, done right. At least for the '08 it is... includes everything needed to lower the transfer case to keep the VC's a the factory angle, redesigned hefty upper control arms, deeper transfer case skid plate, all sort of hardware for the front and rear to keep geometry in check. I installed it myself in around 10 hours. Great instructions as well. Alignment can be performed at any generic shop... nothing special required. Nothing about the kit is permanent and you can go back to stock if you keep your old parts. But again, call RC to verify the same would be true for your '21. And, BTW, that kit levels the vehicle.
