Anyone replaced the rear? How difficult is it? I want black ones.

I’m planning on lighted front bowtie. Any suggestions?

Lighted front bowtie...as in where did you purchase and are you pleased with the result
Ah, ok. Does anyone even offer an aftermarket one? Regardless, I'd go OEM, bar none. Check out a site like gmpartsdirect.com if chevy.com doesn't have them available.

The front emblem can be changed very easily, about in 15 minutes.

Knowing what I experienced, I would bet money you can’t install the front either wiring in 15 minutes on a Tahoe. Just the emblem, sure, but not the needed wiring.

I put the emblem myself, you can break out the old letters with a screwdriver, it takes 5 minutes, and 10 minutes is to unscrew the front part of the left fender, disconnect the connector of the left headlight, and run a wire from the emblem to it)) only the upper bolts of the grill are unscrewed))

I had the chrome border painted grey to match my truck. To remove I took a step down bit and drilled through the original center part of the bowtie, then took a flathead screwdriver to remove the center sections. Once removed you will see the clips holding the chrome border on, take your screw driver to de-compress those clips to remove. Much better than removing the rear hatch panel!:D

Make sure you verify the Year and Model

Also be careful as I have heard some of the lighted emblem kits did not include the rear emblem. I think some may have been mispackaged before shipment due to the delay on reworking the lighted emblem to solve the water intrusion problems.

I don't think lighted REAR emblems exist for these trucks, do they?

No lighted rear emblem, but most of the packages indicate they have a non lighted rear emblem, shipped as a package of 2 pieces. However, I just went back and looked at the Red lighted emblem description and they must of updated it and it now indicates it is a single emblem. I guess they finally determined that since most trucks came with the red emblems, no need to have someone pay for and ship a rear red emblem.

If you buy the OEM illuminated Bowtie it comes with the black rear (not illuminated) bowtie.

My dealer installed it for a very reasonable price, asI purchased it from GM website and they had installed option that was cheaper than the 1 hour labor charge the dealer normally charges.

If yu're not going to install it yourself take it to a body shop. Even at the dealer body shop usually body shop labor is about 1/2 of what mechanical labor is.
