Yesterday, overnight, we got absolutely hammered with snow. A whopping .3”…. So taking my kiddo to school in the am, got Lucy all disgusting and dirty.. so gave her a quick wash that afternoon…

I hate when they salt the roads for a little dusting, makes the vehicle dirty for days on end for nothing!

No, no salt in Texas -- though residents can be a bit salty... I just keep looking at these cars up North, and find it sad that you can see the road through their rocker panels, their quarter panels, and sometimes their bumpers.

I’m pretty far north and I find it interesting they don’t salt roads in the NW but they sure do in the NE. Maybe because we know how to drive in the snow. And it’s not flat here by any means, the west side of town has hills that go up 1000’, we have the Coast Range on one side of the state and the Cascades on the other. Not to say we don’t get into a bit of trouble from time to time if a big one hits. It’s more survival of the fittest at that point. Besides, it’s fun to go out and pull the idiots out of the ditches.

People out here don't know how to drive in fog, light rain, heavy rain, snow, snow on the road, ice on the road, etc. When we had the awful snow days (awful in Texas is snow that sticks and persists -- this is not a comparison to real snow days) here at the beginning of 2021, we had to go out and get some groceries. One intersection was so bad people were trying to go uphill, and sliding down; there were even a couple of guys that got out to help people. We were just trying to stay far enough back the sliders didn't hit us. It was dicey at one point. On the flip side, my Suburban 2500 with all terrain tires and 4WD NEVER slipped. Not even once. It was nice.

Yep. I get around in my AWD fine even in sheer ice after a bout of freezing rain. Just have to know how to drive and not use the brakes much if at all. I drive around town in 2nd and with my loud ass headers and blower I can hear the engine real good so it’s easy to use the motor to slow down. It’s a blast. Last year I saw a guy in a Maserati drive from a plowed road at about 30 mph onto a side road with slush up to the top of his fenders. It was like he slammed on his brakes. I was sitting on that side road waiting for the light to change. It was so damn funny I actually rolled down my window and laughed at him as he tried to open his door to get out. I don’t know what he was thinking- maybe if he had enough speed he could submarine it on through?

I feel bad with you guys in texas with awful snow days of 1/4 inch lol P.S this is not this years pic no snow as of yet love it.

They probably ran out of E85 and are selling Premium from that tank. No brainer, buy the Premium in case they're not doing that.

People don’t know how to drive on a dry summer day where I am in NY lol, I love a snowy road wish they didn’t even plow makes for some fun.

Gah, I guess I'll have to check the alky sensor. I have been running only e85 for the last year. Only put 1200 miles on the truck in that time, though. I like the peppier fuel maps/tables on it.
