I have a 06 Tahoe and cannot find a body lift kit for it. People are telling me they don't make them because of the generation change. Can anyone shine a light on this for me and/or let me know if anyone knows how to do it or where to get one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a body lift for a 06 Tahoe. They say it doesn't exist for this year due to the generation change. Need info on it if there's anyone that has a body lift on there's. Thanks

Any kit from a 2000-2005 should fit, as body-wise all of the NBS Tahoes are the same.

Ok I appreciate it. One manufacturer told me that an 05 kit would work but there was no way to tell for sure if any of the parts would have to be modified. One more question for you....what all needs extended in doing the body kits on the 00-05 ?

It would be cheaper and easier to do a 3 inch suspension lift

That one I don't know the answer to. I do know, however, that the vast majority of people would rather do a 3" and under suspension lift because it's not that much more expensive but it provides more suspension travel and is usually the better route.

I believe you have to extend the brake lines and that's all because your master cylinder and brake fluid stay in the factory place in the engine bay. I think the only things that stay on the frame from underneath the hood is the engine and gear box which the body lift should come with the steering shaft extension. I'm going off things my buddy told me when he put one on his truck but I'm sure the concept has not changed very much. If I'm wrong someone please point it out because I'm thinking of adding a body lift too

Most likely the bumpers too, not familiar with NBS bumpers but if they bolt to the frame then they will need brackets. Some kits like on my 01' F-150 I had to cut the stock bumper brackets off for the rear and replace with the kits brackets. Second on the steering linkage, I'm pretty sure that the majority of body lifts will need this. Also will be looking at extending the fuel tank filler neck most likely. Good luck.

Look at these instructions for an idea of the work you will have to do for a body lift. Don't have to lengthen brake lines (there is enough slack in them), but do need the steering shaft extension, and the fuel filler extension (all in the kit). Not hard work necessarily, but a lot of work.
