OK fellas, i installed front lift keys and a set of bilstein HD's last month on the 04 Yukon 4x4 i have. First off, everytime i go over something like a speed bump or railroad crossing the suspension clunks forward pretty heavily, it feels like i have an effin duramax under the hood. Anyways, im not feeling like these shocks are providing the damping that im looking for. It feels like it dives forward WAAAY too much.

Is there a better shock? Maybe fox or something. Also can you do a dual shock setup without needing to redo the entire front suspension?

Im looking for BOLT ON ONLY options as i have no access to a welder/fabricator anywhere in this part of the country.

any help is much appreciated.

well, is it lifted/ torsion cranked?

that would imply using a different length shock to compensate.

You need these shocks for the front w/crank or keys:
BE5-C153-H0 and rears if you have lifted the back: BE5-D147-H0. I have put these trucks on a dozen tahoes/yukons with a small lift and they ride awesome.

My mistake for not including that, It is a Torsion cranked job.

The shocks i have are from the tire rack, they told me they would work perfectly with the keys and tires since i bought it all from them at the same time. Im gonna be pissed if this is their bust.

fronts are :F4-BE5-6500-H0

rears are : F4-BE5-E380-H0

did these shocks keep a nice cushy/comfy ride or stiffen it a whole lot? thinking about ordering these when i do my keys and spacers next month.

my HDs only have 2-3k miles on them. wonder what i could sell them for if i did this.

They're a bit stiff but I prefer them on these trucks, ride is better than any other shock I have found.

the problem im having is not the stiffness. I went thru the trouble of lifting it and putting these shocks and big tires on just so i could have it ride more like a truck instead of bouncing around like a marshmallow on stock shocks. THe only thing i can come up with is that the shocks arent long enough, seeing as how the shock is the "down stop" for the suspension it would seem i am losing a large ammount of travel with this particular shock on.

I get shipped back stateside in 6 months and this is comming with me, its getting a full 6 inch lift with proper wheels and tires then. So there will be parts to be had.

if the length is what you are worried about they sell extension brackets for the front. you just have keys up front right? and they are cheap. i dont know how strong they are though if you plan on doing any off roading.

but 6" would be bad ass though. not as expensize as i thought it would be either.
