Driving home from work last night, my brakes went out. Got up early this morning before going back and noticed I have a rotor that broke and fluid sprayed all over the tire. Hopefully have time to go to auto part store to get a replacement

A rotor broke? That's scary when you lose brakes. Any pictures?

Damn! That sux, and must've been scary. Hopefully you washed that brake fluid off quick! It'll eat your paint right off.

Unfortunately not, no time as I had to go to work early this morning. I can try to get pics later. And I know, it didn’t happen unless there’s no pics! Lol

Not doubting that it happened, just curious as to how it failed. It's the engineer in me.

Holy shit! [emoji15][emoji15] glad you’re ok, and it sounds like no major problem from this...?

None as of yet...I’m a little “concerned “ as to where the brake fluid came from or if I’ll be needing to replace the brake line

Yup, my first NNBS was w/o the buttons, since I have no use for them. But after I saw the color of the leather on this one, I decided it was worth it to me, even with useless buttons. Liking the leather and an -almost match to the interior. Good thing is I have the 2 tone interior as well, so it blends in.
With your interior it’s worth it. Mine is all one color , which makes it more simple to match but boring as f**k

This isnt for my Burb or Hoe but for a friends 04 Z71 Tahoe, Picked up a spare Esky cluster among other things a few weeks ago from an Esky partout.

Friend said he wanted it but it wasn't in the best shape, bad stepper for the battery, PRND display was out and only a few lights worked. Swapped it to white LEDs,including turn signal indicators and cruise,a newer Esky style TRUE LED inlay from eBay, resoldered all the capacitors for the PRND and gave it fresh steppers, he is beyond excited to get it now

Yes they did. I had replaced my Tahoe ds cover with a new leather one from seat shop only 2 years ago. Thought about swapping, but ran out of time prior to selling the Tahoe. This one has a small tear starting, so probably will get another leather cover sometime.

If your truck is sensing knock randomly and pulling a ton of timing seemingly for no reason check those knock sensors even if they are only a couple years old and you aren't getting a code.

Been struggling to get my buddies 408 denali tuned right, it kept sensing knock at idle, part throttle, and even WOT but not all the time probably 60%. Had it down to 8*at WOT and nearly none at idle yet it was commanding into the negatives because it kept sensing knock. We changed plugs, different fuel, octane booster, 1,000 different things in the tune, and even checked everywhere for some sort of mechanical interference like headers on the frame. Finally we pulled the intake and check the sensors again which he reused from the old engine since they appeared to be in good condition.

Turns out one had corrosion on the pin, replaced them both with AC Delcos and now shes barking with 22* just for starters and no knock to be found.

I'm shocked the ecu never threw a code. I nearly burned the truck to the ground because I feared a poltergeist had possessed it.
