I still like to see what is behind me and in my blind spot while driving, there was plenty of view in my nbs and it's just got progressively worse since then

That is our government at work for ya... The "new" roll-over standards state a vehicle roof has to support 1-1/2 times the vehicle weight rating. For the SUVs, that would be 12k lbs--give or take. The pillars have to be huge. I have literally lost cars before in the A pillar.

I guess the tech keeps us from wrecking into each other and everything else because you can't see them!

Saw this at my dealer today. Sakes was busy, so I didn’t bother my guy to unlock it to look inside.

Oh man - I kind of like the wheels. Tahoe is a traditionally 5 spoke from the factory and I saw those wheels as sort of a cool evolving of a base 5 spoke.

TFL Truck is already putting them through their paces. The Suburban cruised through the Ike Guantlet pulling 7K pounds almost like it wasn't even back there.

The Z71 Tahoe and probably the rest of them do not have a rear locker/posi unit anymore.

IRS is staring you in the face, you can’t help but look at it. Awful. Reminds me of this particular generation Ford Escape:

I never understood how it saves space and increases ground clearance when you see how large the arms are and how low they are near the wheels. It'll be interesting to learn the diameter of the ring gear.

Not back there? Im sure it pulls fine (at sea level) but the suburban needs to be deep into its rpms to reach and maintain any torque. Their video shows that it’s 5db louder than an expy when towing due to that.

Had to drop the Yukon off last night at the local dealer and they had a Tahoe and Denali out front. Denali is going to have to grow on me quite a bit looks wise but could see getting a Tahoe. The back on both would need to grow on me also. Good news is I am not buying another one for a few years so maybe they will by then.

Always interesting to hear different opinions. I think the Denali variant is the best looking of them all so far...but I haven’t seen in person

I liked them better in pictures also but not as much in person, I also just drove by them so it may not be a fair assessment. Good news for me I won't be purchasing for a few years so I have time for my mind to change several times. Since I bought the Jeep GC the wife has been driving it much more than the Yukon so we may not even go with a full size SUV next time and just keep with a Jeep GC and I will get another crew cab truck. This is all speculative at this point and may mean nothing in a few years.
