You have a K2 and get 12 MPG around town? Is that like New York City city driving or like Los Angeles or Fort Lauderdale city driving? What's your average speed on a tank of gas that delivers 12 mpg?
I have K1500 and it’s like New York City driving and average speed will be around 30-40 mph I believe
What year? Are you asking for specific PPV vehicles?
I have 2016 4x4 PPV and I think 12 mpg City is a bit too much? Should be around 15mpg?
It's supposed to get 16 MPG CITY and 18 Combined. Failing cats will usually first manifest themselves through reduced gas mileage before throwing codes. Start with the simple and less expensive checks and maintenance first though.
try and learn how to drive better ? you can squeeze a few extra out of itI have 2016 4x4 PPV and I think 12 mpg City is a bit too much? Should be around 15mpg?

12 is pretty good in a metro area i only got 12mpg in a v6 engine in a metro area
Usually 16 city 22 or more highway if I am less than 70. 70 and above I get 19 on cruise. I’m happy. @BlackBearPerf tuned it for 89 while on the highway.
I know I don't belong here but I thought I would chime in...
6, yes that's 6 MPG lol. It did go down from 8-9 (93 oct) when I switched to E85. That's all city with a heavy foot. Highway I used to get 14-15 cruising on 93. E85 took a 20-25% MPG hit but it costs me 30-40% less than premium. It also makes about 10% more power at the wheels. Honestly, who cares...
Not too many 950hp cars or 6k LB trucks that can get over 6-8mpg on E85 that I know of. It’s pretty damn healthy if you ask me, ran a 11.77 qtr mile on really heavy 22” snow tires last month. I’m sure I’d pick up 1-2mpg just by lightening up my tire/wheel combo.6 , wow, as for me gas consumption always was engine and some component health indicator

I get about the same on the highway in mine. City 14mpg.I don't have y'alls model, but those are nice numbers. My 08 6.2 Denali got 20 mpg highway at sustained 85 mph on a cross country trip. She does NOT get your 16mpg city.
The new models are impressive city for sure.
