But that ain’t what you said!

I think this first year model will be better than typical first year models due to how much testing their doing. GM obviously knows they have to keep beating Ford and delayed release by over a year to make sure everything is perfect.

Not really, take the Sierra and Silverado as an example.
They have got many compliments about the interior and they are planning to refresh interior design for an already new design vehicle.

GM is following the same tried and true method for model release and updates with little variation because it works. They're not behind or ahead of Ford or Chrysler, just on a different schedule. Such thinking is part of media hype or should I write tripe?

Did you mean to say they have not gotten any compliments? I have not heard anyone compliment the 2019 Silverado Sierra interior. It is a complete flop compared to Ram and Ford. I was in the market for a new truck when the 2019’s were rolling out. I jumped on a 2018. I second guessed my decision until having a fully loaded 2019 over the weekend for a loaner. That thing wore me out, I couldn’t wait to get back in my truck.

Check this out, like why haven’t they take care of interior design before the final release? They already have the time since the previous generation and what they end up with is they came up with almost the same interior design.

Anyone remember the 1970s introduction of the G-Body lineup from GM? First two years remained pretty much unchanged, there was a mild facelift in the 3rd year and then 4th saw a major refresh and streamline of the lineup until the end. The GMT900s followed a very similar path.

Folks like familiarity, there's a reason for the new model to share parts/looks of the old, it's what people want.

No. That’s not what I’m sayin

A 2003 expedition with IRS could tow more than a 2020 Tahoe.

That’s what I’m saying.

I had a 2003 expedition. The rear fold flat seats were way ahead of their time. Actually was the first suv line to do it right.

The irs hog head had problems though. Mine was rebuilt under warranty.
