Me and my friends new HIDS

So I ordered 2 kits from DDM ones for my lows and ones for my new fog kit. My fog kit doesn't come till tuesday so I figured id throw in my lows today. Im going from a 10k to a 12k bulb and moving my 10k to my reverse. There pretty bright and I like em alot. I installed my friends hids as well but his were not DDM they are special ordered HJ green bulbs! Man these things are crazy, super green but actually illuminate the road well. Just wanted to share some pics I took .

What temp does it burn at or is it just a different gas thats in the bulb?

Just to let yall know, green does not exist on the Kelvin color chart, a true 30000k would be immense Purple looking.
A green HID is just a 5k HID with a died green glass/gas.

Really? the bulb has a blue dye and tint to it and warms blue than goes to green.

I have 5000k 55w HID's in my lows, and that's about the color I see on the road. The really strange part is that from the front they look pure white like they are supposed to....lol.

Explain that one....

I have an '03, so forgive my ignorance, but do the newer ones have projector headlights at all? I'm guessing not based on the ridiculous amount glare there, but you can never tell with pics of lights because it's so hard to take accurate ones.

I'm a car guy and can usually appreciate most mods, but if i were a cop, I'd pull that thing over. haha

Denali: Only the NBS Esky's have projectors, but i have 55w high and lows and the glare isnt bad.

Just an update one on thing has happened so far we were driving into the parking lot of our dorm when a cop was coming out and he didn't look bothered but when we parked I guess he flipped a U and rushed down and parked in front of us. We just sat there waiting for the red and blue but nothing he just drove off. Other than that we've seen a couple cops, even one was right next to us but they weren't to bothered by them.

5000k is yellow.. but they warm up white...

So a blue tinted bulb.. will warm up blue then turn green (yellow+blue)




I have 30,000ks in the fogs in the yukon and they are intensely pink

Haha you win, downtown oceanside doesn't mess around. Cops were really cool and took pics with us.
