Right... so I get the interior done and I should be picking up the new HD bumper from the shop this coming week...

What to do next?

Well, buy more parts, of course!

I picked up a stock Yukon hood, Denali front bumper and a Denali rear bumper today.

Going to clean up the rear bumper and swap that onto the Tahoe.

The front bumper will probably get cut up, but the idea is to narrow the lower section to create more of a taper effect on the sides as well as merge the cover with the HD cap that I have.... Not sure how that will look or work.

The hood, I want to fill in the raised sections and then install. This should all look really good in my head and will be something you don't notice at all unless you REALLY know your vehicles. Dude I picked it up off of didn't notice the differences except where the headlights meet the hood until I pointed them out...

Anyway, I'll have pictures later. I know you all love pictures instead of words.

Just read you're whole thread. I love it you do some great work. Do you have a link to the dye and paint you used for the interior?

Also I used to live in Tacoma and Lakehood I prefer the east coast tho!

Hell yes. I'm hoping to be able to pull this off. Plan is to color match all the plastics, though I may leave the step pads black on this one. Have to pull the Z71 cladding off as well to color match it too.

It's pretty awesome out here, but yes, I prefer the east coast-ish as well. Cost of living out here is nucking futs!

I liked Washington for the first year to year and a half I was there. The mountains were awesome and the level of green was fantastic but there's too many hippies Haha

Also how much dye did you need for the carpet?

I used one of those 5 or 8 oz bottles of dye in 4 gallons of water and had plenty left over. If you are doing the spray, you'll need about 4-5 cans of it.

I saw a video where they had what I'm assuming was a dye/water mix in a spray bottle I don't want to paint it I want the carpet to be soft when I'm done not crunchy

I think I'll be happy with it. After seeing that.

Thought I'd be happy with the HD one though.

Anyway, swapped the bumpers and have the clean one installed. Clear coat on the cap isn't that shiny but whatever.

Now to work on the hood and bumpers as I find time.

Then, or maybe during, I'll be pulling the wheels, sanding out the curb rash and repainting gunmetal.

Thank you #tonyrodz

Today I made some progress on the rear bumper since I ran out of cutoff discs for the grinder with working on the bracing for the front bumper..

Hoped that I could just reclear after a little sanding but it wound up requiring a little more work than anticipated.

Nice work . I used jbweld on a few gouges on my Denali cover and they've been holding up great. Wouldn't trust it to hold the cap and bumper cover together tho lol.
