Hmm, that's strange, I figured models without blue tooth still having the buttons for it. I wondered also, if blue tooth can be added, these modules are pretty small, since forever

Just for the record, this is what mine look like without the factory Bluetooth.

I think the ones with Bluetooth actually show a phone if my memory serves me.

I have Bluetooth now because I installed the CS-GM1210 that I told you about before. You "should" be able to install a VCIM with Bluetooth to get that option if you wanted to but not 100% since you have a PPV/SSV if the wiring would be there or not.

Hi Ken,

that is what several I saw on Ebay look like too.

I must have missed the 'blue tooth' post, I can't recall. (what is a VCIM??) So I can actually install something to add bluetooth to the car/radio? Please tell me more (I most have totally missed your post about that), sorry.

I saw that, but is 'cone' shape and keyed .. and gets on there pretty tight? (that's why I saw a puller used?

Or you simply don't need one? (and do it the BFH way, like rotors on a Jeep? ;)

Ron

There's no puller needed Just a ratchet and socket and you can get it off. Very easy.

Yup, its just splined. There is a keyway near the top, you cannot put it on incorrectly. Just be mindful to not just rip the wheel off, since you need to unplug a couple of connections in the back of the wheel once you pull it off of the splined shaft.

alright, that would be real easy. Do you happen to know the amount of torque needed for reinstalling the nut?

30 Foot Pounds.

The Bluetooth ones do indeed have a phone above the guy's head. I do not think though that that module affects BT functionality, that's part of the VCIM if memory serves. Chris, @iamdub added BT to his I think.

I'd like to add the heated wheel option to my truck, without the wood if that was ever done. I have a part number or two but cannot see actual photos yet. From what I gather, there's no programming needed either for it, just a new wheel, the left side module and clockspring.

When I tried to look up what VCIM is.. I found this.. maybe in some cases one can add bluetooth?

Good write up. According to GMPartsDirect, my module is 20827036 if that helps you guys.

Also found a heated steering wheel from a 2013 Suburban LTZ that was all leather/vinyl and no wood. Got a pic and a VIN from one for sale but no definite part number save for the aforementioned possible one.
