Anyone have this tire size on a dropped 2000-2006 Tahoe. I have a brand new set of Texas Edition wheels and cant decide between the 305-40-22 and 285-45-22 tire size. I'm dropped 2/3 currently with 275-55-20 tires.

I have a 2/3 on my 04 Yukon and 285/45/22 Toyos. They're too big, they rub on the front passenger side, on the rear of the inner wheel well. And slight scrub in the rear. Its driveable, and you can live with it but definitely couldn't go any lower on these. I would guess the 305/40s will be too big too.

Here's mine. Fronts are 305 40 22's and rears are 305 45 22's. I'm dropped around 3/4 also.

I dont understand how and where you rub on the rear. I've never heard of anyone rubbing on the rear.

It's only very slight. Where the inner fender has those bump outs, they just graze so slightly there. Maybe it's the offset of these wheels, idk.

Here's a shot of the right front where it rubs on the inner fender. It's about halfway up

And the rear. I should also note, I haven't done an adjustable panhard bar yet either so it's mainly on the left rear where it pulled the wheels over

Mine rubbed the fender liners some too, of course they dont anymore, they clearance themselves.

I had to hit both rear wheelwell liners with a heat gun. The tires would rub hitting dips and bumps. Gtg now.

No, it doesn't. The rears are slightly wider. It looks good Imo.

Unless I've misunderstood for a long time, this is not right. If you're running 305/40/22 in front and 305/45/22 in the rear, your tires are the same width. It's your side wall on the rear that's just slightly taller. Right?

Yes, you are correct. But I bought the rims with the tires already, so the taller goes in the rear. I did think they were wider, my bad!

You think if you had this leveled up instead of lowered the 285 would be a good size? this looks great, I just bought the same wheels for my 06
