Help me fill in TOP 5 Exterior Mods

All, I am brand new to the forum after buying a 04 Tahoe LT in Blue. I am glad to see there is an active one for the Tahoe to occupy my time like my old Audiworld Forum did. I am looking for everyone's input on top 5 mods in each category. I will be posting this to the other categories as well!

So, help me fill this in and share with me yours.

TOP 5 Exterior Mods (mine, in order)
1. DEPO Projectors with HID's (hi and low)
2. Z-71 Front Fascia (maybe HID fogs)
3. Remove Side Trim
4. Extended Fender Flares, paintmatched
5. Thule Bike Rack

This is just my opinion, but i think the following make some of the largest impact on exterior asthetics:
1. Wheels
2. Grille
3. Remove badges and molding
4. SS style or body colored bumpers
5. Tint

Black Projectors

I like yours but not sure how they would look on a Dark Blue vehicle. If anyone has a pic of Black Projectors on Blue, please post.

Why not get projectors if they will give you better light output?

I installed the chrome projectors on my 2002 and ever since i did that i got alot more comments on how nice of a ride it looks. After being patient i found a decent set of rims that fit the budget, if i ad more money i would have went with a bigger and nicer rim but the ones i got sets it apart enough from the rest that im satisfied for now.

My list for exterior would probably be:

1. lighting: projector headlights with HID, amber daytime running lights, and amber LED turn signals.

2. wheels and tires

3. rear LED tail lights(on the wish list still)

4. custom painted chevy bowtie(havent decided on a color so still havent done)

5. Tint if it isnt already, mine was tinted when i bought it a year ago so i lucked out but i think tint helps alot with the appearance.

Anyone on here use the 20" wheels seen on the new Tahoes and Avalanches. I like the stock look of those. 5 pokes I think. I am not into the 24" and up look but do like to mod.

I'm more function over form...I don't really care what my truck looks like....its probably been months since I've even washed the truck. Car gets washed every week and a half or so.

Debadge

do SOMETHING with the grill (color match, inserts, both)

Turn the torsions up a little up front to even it out a bit, in my case I am at 1 turn right, and 1.75 turns left (right rear is now even with left instead of high)
I tried 2.5 and 3.5 for a week or two and it was very nice, much more even and firmer up front.


Wheels

I like my amber 3157 DRLs, but YMMV.

you already have the updated 04+ tails... but smoked escalad-ish LED ones are the hotness.

Ive done a couple
1 of course debadge 2 took of roof rack 3 i put rear escalade bumper ,back glass,D PILLAR CAPS makes it look more square with the ss front end,4th 04 silverado ss front end then i got the 06 ss hood & grill 5th got all my billets painted black also,also got my 26"s painted the center black,tinted windows,hids,dual flows with denali crome tips,volant air intake,optima battery,1 jlaudio w7 with jlaudio 1000/1 amp,mbquart highs all around,coming up next custom box behind 3rd row seat,20 flip down tv,lowering kit.

Everybody has in pretty much right on point. But my top exterior mods in order of most impact are:
1-Debadging/Demolding-don't do fender flares unless your gonna lift IMO
2-TINT- huge impact on the look- not really a "mod" so would say HID's/projector headlights
3-Rims- huge impact on the look
4-Dechroming/color matching-but whatever your flavor is-go chrome if it's ur cup of tea
5-Lowering or lifting-again, whatevers your flavor

As far as HID-that's probably MY number one actually, The Tahoe headlights SUCK!!! Go with Depo projectors and mod cutoff!!! HID makes a big difference on the Tahoes, and the Depo headlights look really good. IMO. Isn't a huge IMPACT as far as looks, but for your safety of sight and "if" you color mod, is actually a HUGE mod.
