Went to a local junk yard today with my friend to look for stuff for his 96' F-150. I didn't go in there looking for anything but I couldn't resist looking at a few Tahoes to see if I could grab anything. The next few things I've been wanting to do is color match my black plastics, so I started looking at the door handles and I found an 01 Tahoe with door handles that are already painted, not only that but they happen to be the exact same color as my Tahoe. Got them for $40. Seems kinda high but I figured I can sell my old ones and it'll be like I never spent a dime. Here's one of the handles up to my Tahoe.

Tahoe is pretty dirty, so it's hard to tell but they match perfectly. Hopefully I can get them on tomorrow afternoon and wash it up and post a pic.

Man EVERYBODY HATES my door handles.

I love em personally, and they're really different, as opposed to chrome stockers.

I'm not the biggest fan of chrome wheels but I like the ones with black and chrome and wheels with chrome and the chrome accents look good

I ran all the wiring for my wideband/boost gauge today so it's ready to plug into the AFR sensor and vacuum line when my blower gets here. Decided to replace the funky plastic push-clips on the a-pillar pod with some black buttonhead bolts and nuts so it's possible to remove and reinstall it.

Well shoot I'm not installing a supercharger or wideband... But i flushed my hydroboost/power steering fluid. It had about 50k miles since last changed and was due. Wasnt any problems with it.

The gauge itself is gorgeous, not liking the 4 bolt heads. Thinking of ways to secure it without screws but be able to remove easily but I got nothing either lol

Heavy duty Velcro? The type they use on windshields to hold an ez pass type deal.

Pulled the valve covers again to check for any sludge as I'm still slowly losing coolant. I should have gone ahead and pulled the rockers to check for Castech as I've got 706 heads. No signs of any sludge at all. Also none of the oil drain holes were clean as the TSB suggests for a problem. Hopefully I don't have a tiny crack anywhere.

Idle is still kinda rough, so definitely on to intake manifold gaskets. Time to order up all the goodies.

I think I'll also get some UV dye to add to the coolant. I'm just a bit perplexed because I'm not sure if I still have Dexcool after I had the waterpump replaced a couple years ago. I saw there's specific dye for dexcool from Delco.

Whatever you do don't mix Dex and any other coolant your just asking for trouble, did you check all the coolant hoses the one that runs through the TB could be leaking or those connectors at the firewall

I thought if other ways but I need to be able to get to the back of the gauge while the a-pillar is in place but unattached and the pod is close but also unattached. It's s PIA with 2 sets of cables and a vacuum line. I needed 4 bolts because the side wants to bulge out.

What about the push pins that twist and the center pulls out so you can use and reuse them by just popping the center out and it releases the tabs so you can pull them out
