Bought an off-lease 2016 Tahoe LT first week of January. 15K miles. Love it.
It has a Zurich Shield sticker on the side window. I assume whoever original fleet owner was paid extra for this from the dealer. I've bought plenty of new cars and never paid for a dealer add-on like this. I always assumed its a rip-off.
Whatever this stuff is, water beads and runs off windows and paint like crazy, like the whole truck is triple coated with rain-x. You would assume the paint would feel slick with so much wax or polymer applied. It actually feels rough like it isn't waxed at all. I doubt the lease liquidation place did anything to it, they barely cleaned up the interior. I think its still got the Zurich Shield coating from when it was sold new in May 2016.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this or knows how long its expected to last?
