I think I am about done ordering brake pads online. I ordered the ACDelco pro semi-metallic brake pads and they were rattling around in the box. I already contacted the shipper and they refunded me the price of the item plus $5.

Can someone tell me if they would use these pads? They do have some silicone compound all over them and I don't know if they can be thoroughly cleaned with brake clean or not. I can try but why waste a bottle on these if the grease can soak into the pad. Will grease soak in? Should I just forget about it...throw them away and buy from another retailer? Let me know what you think. Here is a couple pics

yep, there perfectly fine, I've ordered pads online before it's very typical for them to arrive just like that, I'm surprised you got a refund, there obviously not damaged

I Would definitely use them if they don't appear to have any damage to them.
