only 2 ways I can think if, drop the oil pan and loosen the rods and main till you can turn it. or pull the converter out of the tranny.

Anything special to pulling it from the tranny or is just like anything else? Yanked and yanked and yanked on it for quite some time with no avail. Was thinking of trying to get a spreader of some sort to help assist.

keep the tranny perfectly straight and level when separating it. The input shaft is in the tranny and torque converter. If you put it in a bind something's gonna give. And that wouldn't be good.

Worst case, you can cut access holes into the bell housing since that will likely get replaced as part of the transmission overhaul anyway.

Trying to keep it as straight as possible. Hard with having to get over the motor mounts on the frame. Will try to remove them from the motor on my next attempt.

Not a bad idea, but I'm trying to not have to replace motor AND trans. Just motor. But worse comes to worse, good to have that idea
