busy weekend with the tahoe.replaced/installed:
-alternator with 145a delco 244
-water pump
-big 3
-belt
-all coolant/heater hoses & heater control valve
-coolant flush & tstat
-radiator with silla all aluminum rad($187ebay,welds are a bit ugly, but seem solid)
-pcm with 0411 from lextech
-electric '05 gmt800 fans
-erl and filter

did the pcm on friday night, took about 2 hours.started on first try.runs better, improved idle & throttle response.feels like it shifts smoother.highly recommend.the rest went smoothly, except the new tstat(delco) was defective.wasnt opening till 230*-240*.fans work great.truck is so quiet now.they switch on around 225*-230* which seems a bit high to me, ill have to ask lextech what they are programmed for...still have to make a few brackets for the fans and put on the new shroud.but very happy with the switch so far...

last weekend i replaced all of the steel brake lines, brake hoses, calipers, hawk pads, rotors, wheel cyl, drums & hardware.the brake line to the rear was a pain in the ass

a month or so ago i replaced the ac compressor, lines, condenser, accumulator & switches (with a good amount of assistance from SLC)

Last weekend :

New brake pads
Replace the ball joints
New tires
New hinge pins
All new rubber seals
New weather tech mats front and in rear cargo
Cleaned it
Drove it to my son to use for the week 240 miles got 16.2 mph at 85mph
Picking it up in 3 days hooking the trailer up to it loading the kids 74 260z and on the way to ZNATIONALS. 550 miles.

Didn't realize how bad the doors were. Nice driving a quiet ride.

Question on install of the gasket on rear hatch will post in separate blog.

Last week did the balljoints, and now I'm stumped on why the engine is stumbling when I get in the throttle. Cruising it's fine, but any hill or acceleration and it coughs and runs rough and is somewhat down on power. Fuel pump, fuel filter, cap and rotor, wires and plugs are all new in the last year or so. Air filter was just cleaned and maf sensor was cleaned last week. Beyond that I'm lost, I don't like trying to fix fuel injected motors, too complex.

Changed the oil, trans and transfercase fluid. And during an argument with the ol' lady, slammed the back glass and it shattered . Got the whole back hatch from the junk yard for $85 but I lost all my stickers.

Also, im thinking about not putting the wiper and motor back on because it doesnt work for shit any ways and I think it gives the back a smoother look. Anybody ever done this? Any creative ways to cover the 2 holes in the glass?
