I was wondering if anybody got that reference!
So we are lucky to have 260k on one in our Envoy…I heard Dex6 is actually better for older transmissions, depends on where you read the info. I didn’t think it was going to help you but we can always hope, right? Consensus does seem to be that 150k is about average for the life of a 4l60 though so I’d say you got your money’s worth out of that one. Mine went at about 140k but that was also right after I installed a supercharger so I’m sure that hurried it along.
Extremely lucky, that’s an exception. They don’t usually don’t last that long but it’s an Envoy so it’s a lot easier on it than a full size suv.So we are lucky to have 260k on one in our Envoy…
True. We even towed our boat with it for 5 years but It’s only a 16.5’ with a 50hp.Extremely lucky, that’s an exception. They don’t usually don’t last that long but it’s an Envoy so it’s a lot easier on it than a full size suv.
I purchase the interior door panel lights and boy do they put out some light. The before picture has and LED bulb and that light looks dim compare to the new LED light assembly. I turned off the lights in the garage to show the brightness but the pictures do no justiceDoes anyone have these interior lights? Curious to see some pics at night with them.
I guess I'm lucky, my suv just passed 183k and it still going strong.I heard Dex6 is actually better for older transmissions, depends on where you read the info. 2005 GMC Yukon:How about this for a simple thread. I know a lot of us do simple stuff to our trucks everyday and we don't make a new thread for everything we do. So if you did something neat, simple, or just want to brag about a new cool piece you threw on your ride post it up. I figure this thread will also bring inspiration to others as well.
I'll start.....
Today I did some spring cleaning to the my '01 Tahoe. I washed it and cleaned out the inside. I also ordered some new JL audio speakers for the doors and front and rear Weathertech floor mats. I also put some sound deadening material in the doors.
Jack your post count up, and post away.

Well you have to realize members of this forum should have better results than the general population because we actually maintain our vehicles way better than the general population, including transmission fluid and filter changes. Im sure most owners don’t ever maintain the trans. I know the previous owner(s) of my truck never changed the fluid and filter once in the 110k miles it had on it before I bought it.I guess I'm lucky, my suv just passed 183k and it still going strong.
