vibrating fuel gauge

last week when i filled up the tahoe shortly after starting the truck up the fuel gauge start vibrating "hummingbird effect". it did it for about 5 days and every now and then it would stop and act normally. it stopped vibrating all together at about a quarter tank and for a day or 2 after i filled back up.

Im thinking its the sending unit but not totally sure. any opinions


99 tahoe 4x4. 139k miles

My buddies 97 did that then it eventually started doing complete circles.....it was the sending unit

My 99 had it, 2 sending units later no fix. Replaced instrument cluster FIXED!
