With a stage 2 you should be alright.

I will tell you, with the Stage 3 you definitely a 3-3200 stage. I did my cam first, drove it.....and was like ****, need a stall now LOL. Had nasty cam surge at stop signs and lights.
That's what I'm experiencing as well. It's not bad, but a little noticeable and the lights flicker. Have asked BB to smooth out the idle as much as they can.

Yeah working with the converter lock up points and line pressures should get you set.

Idle takes a lot of trial and error to dial in, even with negative overlap cams. I still tweak mine from time to time.
